Auroville - What I experienced! For authentic and validated information click here. I am absolutely not clear about what it is and why it exists. I have just the faintest idea. I will google later, I guess!

Few kms after Pondicherry, on the East Coast Road towards Chennai, a small turn to the left is the entrance. From there its another 8 kms to reach the heart of Auroville. Every attempt has been made to make the place look non-city like. It has trees all around and very few buildings. The place is full of people, visitors and mostly foreigners. And three such wonderful, beautiful fairies, this post is about.

The firs sight was of a horse coming out of the woods, on to the road. It became clear later that the horse was pulling a small buggy with a kid and a pretty girl on it. I almost fell of my bike. It was absolutely like in the movies where the a beauty of a lifetime come out of the woods, and stuns everyone. Any one seen Godfather II where Al Pachino is struck by the thundebold. All this happened in a fraction of a second and I just kept looking at her. And suddenly I heard other giggles. Two other girls with horses were walking by the side walk. What amazing faces, complexion, smile. I just can't describe in words. But, decency asked me to keep moving on and not stare at them. So, I did.
This is where I parked. Was just wondering. Residents are called Aurovillians. What if the Aura is removed from them. Are they Villians with Aura! :-D
I accept other countries being represented in Auroville but not Bharat Nivas. Come on for god sake, Auroville is in India. But, that how it is.

This is supposed to be the special dome that I decided to click from outside. Was not really inclined to go in. I don't know why.

This guy and other on bike just kept whizzing past. One guy, top less, head-phone clad, and with what rage, I don't know. Kept pumping his one hand and riding the bike dangerously with the other. I thought, a place like Auroville is supposed to calm one down. I have not seen the guy before. Probably that was his calmed down version!

On the way out, sheer luck got me face to face with the same three fairies. This time I could not resist and stopped the bike. I went up to them and requested a snap. The reply, "You rather not!". For a moment I thought, what the heck, lets click and rush off. But, I didn't want to. So there ends what was my most romantic encouter (don't know if it can be called so) with strangers.

It is possible that one forgets faces. One forgets the place. But, the experience, the feelings stay on!
